Mommy & Daddy took me to meet Uncle Steve at his brother's house in Alexandria, VA.  Now, Uncle John (left sitting)and Aunt Theresa (standing).




Nicholas had his dinner and now napping with Mommy and Aunt Theresa and Tony.




The celebrated Uncle Steve's birthday early.  I got to eat some of Uncle Steve's cake & ice cream out of his dish.  I am with Uncle Steve's other niece & nephews.

Nicholas's First Surgery - Myringotomy (Tubes in Ear)

 Our poor little man has suffered so much in the last ear with ear infections.  We finally got a referral to visit a ENT to have his ears checked.  We got a great ENT in Fredericksburg (Dr. Buckman). He agreed that Nicholas was a prime candidate to have tubes put into his ears. Yesterday was the big day. We had to have Nicholas at the surgery center by 7:00am. He wasn't allowed to have food or drink from midnight to until after his surgery. He was getting restless prior to the nurses coming to get him and I was so worried about my baby going under but all went well.  He was in and out in 15 minutes and we were able to see him shortly after. He wasn't an happy camper in recovery but once we got him outside he perked right up. He slept on the way home after drinking some juice of course. He woke up wanting some breakfast. He ate well and starting playing like nothing ever happened.  Mommy and Daddy knew someone happened because he was giving us alot of dirty diapers!!  He slept most of the afternoon and back up for dinner and play.  We sure hope that with the tubes his ear infections will be few and far between! We will have to see as we go!. Our little man is on the road to healthier days..LOL
